Jeff
was originally trained as a fine
artist and
holds a BA Fine Arts
degree. He has exhibited
sculpture
and photography in numerous
cities
throughout the US
including Boston, New York
and Chicago.
Within a few years he returned
to college
to earn his MS Art
Education degree. He then
went on to working as a
full-time design and
photography instructor
in the Boston area
and
was awarded a
tenured position.
In 1985 Jeff transitioned
from education and
exhibiting
fine artist into the graphic
design
industry. Highlights
of his career include
working
for RR Donnelley and Sons
as a printing
sales rep; being
an account executive at a
full-service graphics and
marketing services
firm; and
serving as a sales
marketing
manager.
In 1991 Jeff moved to
Southern California
to
continue his graphics career.
Within a
few years he formed
JW Creative Group – a
full
service graphics and print
brokering
company. Since then
Jeff gradually took over
more and
more of the art director and graphic
design
responsibilities for his clients' projects.
Since 2001 the business focus has increasingly
transitioned to eCommerce and website design
projects. This industry shift prompted Jeff
and Doug to recently join forces and launch
SoCal WebWorx – a website design and development
company.
Jeff's varied background gives SoCal WebWorx
a unique ability to understand your website
requirements within the context of your
larger marketing efforts. SoCal WebWorx
can work as an extension of your company's
marketing efforts to maximize your web investment
and help fulfill your marketing strategy.

Doug’s passion
for art and
photography
began at the age
of 10 when he received his first
35mm camera
as a gift. Even
then it was obvious he
had a
natural aptitude and has
been
honing
his skills ever since.
In 1987, Doug started
working as a graphic
designer for the
Tri-Form Company
doing
everything
from simple
type-
setting to four-color-
process artwork. In
1990, with
ample
experience to set out on his
own,
he formed Design Café
– a graphic design
and
service bureau company. A
couple of
years into the
business, he expanded to
offer
website design
services
and manage
his own web server.
This early exposure
to website
design, web mastering and
programming
has given him
an edge in today’s web market.
After a decade of successful
years operating
Design Café,
Doug sold the business for
profit and to move in new career
directions.
Initially he was hired
by Mission Printing
Company, Inc.
as a senior graphic designer
and
printing
production manager. During
his employment with Mission, he continued
to
refine his design skills, while gaining
valuable expertise in print production
and manage-
ment. Doug concurrently formed
dcrCreative
– a photography and web development
firm
– to meet the expanding need for
these services.
Doug and Jeff met in 1993 and have since
collaborated on countless projects. In 2008,
they formed SoCal WebWorx as a merger
of their respective knowledge and talents.
Jeff’s marketing and advertising aptitude
and Doug’s artistic and technical mastery
form a dynamic and knowledgeable team.
Together they can help your company
make its mark on the World Wide Web. |
